We did it!

Congratulations, Ralph! I'm planning on leading a Conga line through the building with the 9001 Cert in one hand and the 16949 in the other.

Yes, our Registration Audit Findings have been accepted and the Registration Audit has been closed. All documents are on their way to the Technical Committee for final review. The countdown has begun.

So I am interested. Did you post somewhere this presentation?
I would love to get it and probably to make a good use of it.

As a fellow Cover, I am trying to "pull some strings" and get your certificate expedited, once the technical review process is completed. Celebrate and enjoy. But keep in mind that this is the time you will be able to tell if the processes are really implemented or not. Sometimes, organizations, after achieving the certificate milestone, over relax and let processes slip. Many times, the first surveillance assessment, post certification, is the most difficult one, because the organizations fall back into "old habits".

Thanks for the help. I'll be the Golden Boy once I have the paper in my hands! Fortunately for us, we are in the midst of releasing a product that requires a full APQP/PPAP and I have won over the Director of Operations to the "formal" QMS way of thinking. The two combined will keep us on track. Our team has a 40+ item punch list of things that weren't "findings" but could have been, so we have a lot to keep us focused for the next 6 months until the first surveillance.

Your TS2 diary is very comprehensive and useful for anyone like me who is working on TS2 certification.

I have few queries for you. Hope you get the time to answer them.
1. How many suppliers do you have? Are they ISO certified. If not, what alternate did you use?
2. How about supplier PPAP's? We have lot of problem in this area because our suppliers are small mom and pop shops. Every aspect of the process is being taken care by us like tool , gauges, maintenance of the machines etc.
3. What steps did you take to satisfy 7.4.3.2 last line i.e " The organisation shall promote supplier monitoring of the performance of their manufacturing process"
