Hi All

In the good old days I used to knock out Access databases for much of my QA work, however I am now in an organisation that does not want people doing this, in fact precludes the use of MS Access.

Their preference is Lotus Notes based databases, which I think looks pretty cr@ppy but it may be just that I am so used to looking at the MS Windows and applications format.

Anyways, as such I am looking at getting a Lotus Notes dependant database, and have come accross Achiever Plus. Does anyone else out there use this software, and do they have any good or bad points to share.

Cheers

Years and years ago we wanted to purchase something to get away from home made Access databases. We were spending too much time building databases (lots of fun) and not enough time on the floor working on Quality issues (lots of trouble).

We did a fairly comprehensive feature review of the systems around at that time and came up with Achiever.

Then our IT people "absolutely forbade" us to implement Notes...and back to the search we went.

If Achiever has improved at all (and I expect it has) over the years, it should be pretty good.

Notes - I think it was too far ahead of its time.

Good luck
