Adding AS9100C Lead Auditor Certification to an IRCA ISO 9001 LA Certification

Quite Involved in Discussions
I have a quick question concerning IRCA Auditor Certification. A friend who currently is IRCA ISO9000 certified has recently passed the the AS9100C test is wondering what needs to be done to have the IRCA ISO Auditor certification include AS9100C.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

First and foremost, your friend needs to know that, despite the fact that IRCA still has an Aerospace Auditor Certification program, they are no longer an IAQG approved Auditor Authentication Body.

So, if your friend is interested in the possibility of being an IAQG authenticated Aerospace Auditor (AEA/AIEA), applying for the IRCA certification will be a waste of time and money.

PS. If your friend wants to become a 3[sup]rd[/sup] party Aerospace Lead Auditor, he can contact me and I will explain to him how to get there. If he has the potential and willingness to deal with TSA people, week after week, while accumulating 150,000 frequent flyer miles/year, or more, I can even offer him a job.
