Additive Manufacturing/3D printing for aerospace (certification procedure)

Hi all

Im looking into developing a certification framework for Additive Manufacturing parts for aerospace. The aerospace industry isnt my specialty and I was wondering if anyone has any resources/links to aid me in understanding exactly what documents/tests are needed in order to be able to sell parts to aerospace OEMs.

Any help will be appreciated.

A recent press release caught my eye and it might be of interest to you. Midwest Prototyping achieves AS9100 certification for 3D printing aerospace parts

But they should know better the name of the CB.

Midwest Prototyping’s compliance to the standard was verified by independent accredited registrar, National Quality Associates, Inc., with advisory services from the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP). Nate Schumacher, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Midwest Prototyping, oversaw both the AS9100 Rev. D and ISO 9001:2015 implementations.

If you have not already...consider contacting All Points Additive...or America Makes...
Last I heard, they were hassling through a lot of this type of stuff, trying to get their hands around this fast growing implementation.
