Advice on Engineering Change Request (ECR) software

Hello Everybody.

Its time to make my Quality Budget for 2008, or best put a wish list. What I want to do is ask you experts about ECO/ECR software programs. Pro/Cons-Cost?

Basically I need to upgrade from the old ECR database made from ACESS,which also required we had to set up meetings to review. It worked fine for many years, but we grown and with growth has come way to many ECR's. That and the resources and time it takes to get all parties involved to review-assign-approve is getting very cost prohibited.

What I am looking for is electronic movementfor assigning,review and approvals. Any Suggestions?

If you have a MRP/ERP such as Oracle or SAP they both have good PLMs with work flow. Also look at Bugzilla. It's a good program with a work flow and good reporting. Best feature it's FREE.

Check out Octane, its a web based ecn system and has task tracking too. Pretty good price and unlimted users. edm-concepts.com
