Our company is going through the PPAP process now (for the first time) and I've been able to glean much useful information from this forum, so thanks all.
We are considering assigning a number to each of our KPC's and KCC's and then using that number in downstream documentation. For example if we have identified OAL as a KPC on the drawing, we would assign it a number and then on the DFMEA, PFMEA and shop travelers, we would refer to that number. I am concerned that it will become somewhat of an "accounting" nightmare trying to keep track. Does anyone do this?
