Again ... about this IATF site extension rule...

The rule says the current site extension needs to be separately certified by 4/1/15...

But it didn't say any new site extensions will need to get a separate certificate, correct?

If I understand the question right, site extensions need to go through the certification process but may be listed on the same certificate so long as they are using the same QMS. The existing certificate would be reissued with the new site added, but the original overall certification date would not change from this activity.

Previous poster got that spot on.
The 'extension' site will be audited first (I think it's got to be done no more than 1month before the main site) and then the main site will be audited. There will be only 1 certificate with the sites usually listed on p2.
