Re: AIAG / Odette labels required in MMOG survey?
What does ODETTE stand for?
ODETTE originally stood for 'Organisation for Data Exchange by Tele-Transmission in Europe'. This acronym was created to reflect the original purpose for which ODETTE was created in 1984. However, ODETTE is a dynamic organisation and has constantly evolved to meet the increasing needs of its members for supply chain standardisation and the current scope no longer corresponds to the acronym. This is why you will see this intriguing but charming name used without its full signification.
My customer has asked me to implement an ODETTE standard. Where do I start?
Your first port of call should be your National Organisation who will be best able to assist you. If you are outside one of our National Organisations, you should contact your customer or a service provider in your country.
I need an ODETTE Identification (ID). How can I obtain it?
You can find information in the document Identifications of Parties in ODETTE. However, it is best to seek advice from your National Organisation if you are located in one of the ODETTE countries. Otherwise, please contact your national Standards Body.
