Aluminum Castings Defects - Welding and what to Mark with

Assume we have AL castings with defects.

Defects are marked for excavation and subsequent welding.

What are you susing to mark the areas for excavation and welding.

I am looking for something that will not contaminate the welding or that would be easily removed with alcohol (not water).

Ordinary pencil is a no (the graphite can attack the aluminum).

The Rinzoff was demonstrated as problem-free when left on for bleed-through and free from adhesion issues for any subsequent painting, plating, or ecoat operations.

I remember using Temp Sticks to mark repair areas in castings year ago, they don't contaminate the weld area.
