Am I prepared? I'm sitting for the CQT in 4 days - 3/5

I'm sitting for the CQT in 4 days.

My references are all prepared and I know them well. I know how to use my calculator. I've been using the QCI question disk extensively and can consistenly score around 80% on the practice tests. When I run across questions I don't know the answer to, I know where to find the answer.

I'd feel really great about these scores except for the fact that I seem to get the same questions over and over when I run a simulated exam (thus allowing me to finish a simulated exam in about 1.5 hours). I only get the questions wrong once, read more about the subject, then can get the question right next time I see it, but I'm concerned that the scores I get on these exams isn't really representative of my knowledge, but more of how well I can remember the right answer from the last time I saw the question. With most of them, I understand why the correct answer is correct, and the ones i don't understand I suspect are wrong or ambiguous questions.

Am I overanalyzing this?? Or, should I feel good going into the exam? What is the experience of others who've used these disks?

Can you tell I'm nervous??

You're probably worrying too much. If you have a good grasp of the material and you don't choke on the exam, you'll pass. If you don't pass, you can take it again. The only thing you have to fear is fear. Good luck, and try not to worry about it. Think about what Duane Thomas of the Dallas Cowboys said when asked by a reporter prior to the Super Bowl how it felt to be playing in the "ultimate game." "If it's the ulimate game," he replied, "How come they're going to play it again next year?"

Good luck!!! Just one other piece of advice: A set of fresh batteries for the calculator and a cheap backup calculator, just in case.

I once had a problem during a Finance final, you see....

You'll do fine. Use the above tips and when you open the test take a few moments to scan the contents of the exam and try to get a feel of its direction and answer all your easy ones first.

One question on the test that gave me a fit at the time was about determining the length of a chord. I had previously heard of read of chords but never had the pleasure using them.

chord (kôrd) , in geometry, straight line segment both end points of which lie on the circumference of a circle or other curve; it is a segment of a secant. A chord passing through the center of a circle is a diameter. In the same circle or in equal circles, equal chords subtend equal arcs and equal central angles.

Hmmm... I love geometry, but don't remember all of the fomulas. Maybe I'll try to find a reference page in one of my old college textbooks to bring with me.
