AMS 2750 F Instrument Calibration Results and Recording

AMS 2750F Section 3.2.5.2 g states that the "Error" shall be documented on the calibration report. We have always had the Correction Factor reported and never had it questioned by Nadcap until this year. Before having my calibration source complete redo the report to include the Error, I wanted to see if there were other options. Has anyone run into this in AMS 2750 journey? We only use the CF so I'm trying to eliminate confusion for the operators by adding another value on the cert. Is a comment on the cert saying something to the affect "Thermocouple readings provided in "correction factor" format. The Error is the opposite value of the Correction Factor."

It's been a long time since I've been audited by NADCAP for Composit Bonding and had to do Uniformity Surveys (AMS2750D), but I listed everything on a cover page including offsets. Never had issue with a single Survey, but I do know a few years ago there was a change in the mindset and I think it was all driven from temperatures far exceeding what we used. I do know there is a lot of confusion as to what is actually required and some if not all of that comes from those selling a service. A sister company ran into that after I left and they were lead down a primrose path only to find out none of what they were being told was even close to the requirements of 2750. Sometimes, the same holds true with NADCAP Auditors.

By the book answer is the Error needs to be reported according to rev F. However, as long as it is CLEARLY defined as the correction factor or the Uncorrected error I cannot recall as single auditor over 14 years that would write this as long as it is clear the error is the inverse of the reported correction factor on your calibration report as you stated above.

A much larger issue for me was trying to get my calibration companies to properly document the modification and correction offsets on the report and account for the modification offsets. I got overly frustrated with 3 calibration companies that could not or did not understand the new requirements, I bought a secondary standard calibrator and now perform all internal calibrations myself. I made my own calibration report to include both error and correction factors for my field test instruments for our convenience. Problems solved.....

3.5.2.G requirement is optional or only when customer specifies to have this documented? That is my interpretation.
