I happened upon a UK website promoting tourism in Cornwall that includes this lesson in why you have to be careful with spellcheckers:

Better than any one attraction in the South West, Fal River Links brings together a whole range of experiences, attractions, walks and detonations with a unique and completely integrated transport network.

Can you imagine if the author lisped and tried to say the word with the correct spelling?
"destinations" might have come out sounding like "death-in-nationth"

just a side to this.....

:topic:

Cornwall is the general location for where Richard Bolitho is from.....for those who don't know who that is, he is a fictional character in the series of books by Alexander Kent. Naval history from 1755 to 1830 is one of my hobbies so I have and/or have read most of the series.

Also, Kent was on the equivalent to the Board of Directors for HMS Victory, the oldest continuously commissioned warship in the world, and the only Royal Navy vessel with a National Shrine on board.
