ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 v.3.2 deviations and POWER SUPPLY CORD colors

ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 v.3.2 has several deviations from the IEC version.

One of them regards the POWER SUPPLY CORD, with the Hospital Grade plug (and NEC compliance. However, subclause 7.7 keeps IEC's colors requirements. However, Hospital Grade power cords with IEC color scheme on the internal conductors are rare. Most cords follow NEC scheme (L/N/PE -> Black/White/Green). Thus most Hospital Grade power cord would fail subclause 7.7. From the electrical safety point of view, Hospital Grade power cords have more rigorous requirements construction wise than those required by IEC 60601-1.

I intend justifying that, as the cord's insulators meets NEC given the requirements introduced by deviations, subclause 7.7 is NA for power cord, and, based on subclause 4.5, it not only meets electrical safety requirements, it exceeds them. Does that make sense?

I would appreciate your insights on how to approach this matter.

Thanks in advance.
