I talked to the AIAG in late February and they told me it would be out by the 1st week of March. I guess it's time to go take another look. I haven't heard what the changes are.

This rather brief "overview" appears on AIAG site:
https://www.aiag.org/publications/quality/msa3.html

"This manual presents guidelines for selecting procedures to assess the quality of a measurement system. The manual is not intended to be a compendium of analyses for all measurement systems. Its primary focus is measurement systems where readings can be repeated, however this edition includes procedures for non-replicable measurement systems (e.g., destructive testing). There is also an emphasis on measurement as a lifelong process and the need to study measurement systems over time. "

Howard or anyone who's received their MSA third edition copy,

Could you please provide a quick update on what exactly is new in this manual esp. with regard to:
1. Destructive testing R&R and
2. Acceptance criteria for Linearity

Thanks.

New MSA Manual

I have just received the new MSA manual and am wondering how the new R&R for distructive testing will affect us. We use a lot of hardness testers. Previously we did not do R&R on them since we could not reproduce the results (destructive).

Any ideas?

Thanks!:bonk:
