Hi, can anyone explain what is the difference between PSL-1 and PSL-2 in API 4F application, currently we're applying for API 4F certification but a bit confuse with this terms...

Hi, Welcome to the Cove!

PSL - Product Specification Level

PSL 1 - requirements will reflect practices currently being implemented by a broad spectrum of the manufacturing industry.

PSL 2 - the requirements reflect both what manufacturers are already implementing, as well as additional steps to enhance strength of the materials and reliability.

Hi, Haraki, I agree with Thee. It is clearly explained in Annex D of API 4F:
PSL - Product Specification Level
PSL 1--- includes practices implemented by a broad spectrum of the industry.
PSL2--- includes all of PSL1 plus additional requirements.

hi haraki, in addition with the explanation from @Thee Bouyyy and @lanley liao . if you have the API spec 4F 5th edition standards, the PSL 2 requirement can be found on section 9.5, 11.4.4.2, 11.4.5, 11.9. the PSL 2 requirement is more stringent than PSL 1

Prayudha, You're right. "PSL 1 includes particles implemented by a broad spectrum of the industry" and "PSL 2 includes all of PSL 1 plus additional requirements" is specified in Annex D of API Spec 4F 5th edition.
