Hi all,
I need to make a sampling plan for our material produced.
In our factory we begin with rollstock and we produce sheets out of the rollstock...it's sliced.
Now based on ISO2859-1 and the AQL levels that customers wanted us to apply I tried to figure out what was the most workable AQL batch size to maintain.
Since we produce 2 batches a 5 rollstock each a day you will understand what impact AQL sampling will have if we use the produced batches as an AQL batch size. Sure we don't need to sample a lot but if we find defects this will have tremendous influence.
I understood that within a sample plan I can switch from;
reduced to normal to tightened.
Is it also possible to make a variable sample plan.
Like;
*Sample taking on batch lvl -> to many defects -> go sample taking on roll lvl
*Sample taking on roll lvl -> to many defects -> go sample taking on sheet lvl
*Sample taking on sheet lvl -> to many defects -> reject sheet (possible rework after taking out defects)
Such a plan would save us a lot of waste material but I don't know how I should determine if we work within the given AQL lvl's.
Does anyone have a suggestion for me?
(attached I have a draft of my calculation on sample sizes)
