AS9100 Calibration Requirements

Is there a article or a book that explains the basic requirements for calibration for AS9100. The standard looks much simpler that the discussions I have read on the net regarding it.

I too have found few resources (outside The Cove) but I do know one thing for sure:
If anyone is trying to complicate this section of the standard, it is because they either don't understand it or they want your money.

The standard is pretty detailed in this area. Maybe you have a specific question or scenario?

With the following exceptions (bold items in AS9100c):
1. "maintain a register of the monitoring and measuring equipment..."
2. "Environmental conditions..."
3. "establish, implement, and maintain a process for the recall"

The remaining requirements are a copy of ISO9001:2008 so if you can find some documentation/reading using the ISO requirement you can then add in the requirements listed above.

You could always read the standard - if you want to run a lab - ISO 10012 or ISO 17025

or

here is an article to give you a 2 page beginners intro to this topic

Now - do I detect another hidden question - feel free to share.
