I work with a design & manufacturing plant. We are moving to Rev C from B. Our Rev C audit is due by this May. Surveillance.

In the audit, will the auditor look only for new requirements/ changes to existing requirements or will they also look into Rev B requirements (We did not have any major/minor in the last internal & external audits)

Thanks
Tim

Per SR001
m. Transition audits conducted during surveillance shall include an audit of all processes (and process interfaces) affected by the changed requirements within the 9100/9110/9120:2009 AQMS standard.

Hope this helps

So long as you are only having your transition audit! If the timing fits with full certification then they will look at your entire system! Be careful and check

We (the company I am the ISO Mgt Rep for) just completed our revision “C” from “B” audit last week and they certainly looked into the entire system. It was obvious that there were more concentration placed on the newer (or differently defined, major changes) requirements, while less time/effort was spent on areas with little or no changes.

As of July 1st 2011 they can no longer audit to AS9100B.

In a transition audit, they will look at all the changes in the standard even if they are not looking at the entire system.

I hope you have prepared to accommodate the changes. As well as the changes in AS9100, make sure you look over AS9101D, the new standard that the auditors have to follow. Pay particular attention to the PEAR.
