AS9100C Transition AATT E-module training

Hello. I thought it would be helpful to join this forum so I can answer questions regarding this AATT training. I am not an auditor so I cannot answer the technical ones but I will help with what I can.

Julius and Trike99 - To clarify, even if you do pass the Initial Examination you will still have full access to the Online Training Module. This is also to be used as reference when needed while you are attending the 4-day classroom training.

I understand there has been a little confusion out there regarding the "examination". This first 2-part online Initial Examination is only an assessment so those that pass are not required to complete the Online Training Module. Basically, they may "opt-out" of going through it. Prior to attending the classroom training, all participants must present either a certificate of completing the online training or a passing score from the initial examination.

Nathan, Thank you very much for your input and clarification. The message I wanted to put out is: "Take the E-Module course if you pass or not. It is a good course and well organized. Besides you do need a lot of this information when you take the "Face-to-Face" course.

Thanks for the clarification Nathan. I've registered for the AATT, but I haven't done the exam yet. I was going to call and ask if the module would still be available if I passed.

I took the tests this week while I was on vacation. I got 100% on the knowledge test, but I had something come up (family related) during the application test and I didn't finish in time, so I didn't pass it.

There was some good information in the online training module, but it was also disappointing to me for several reasons:

1) I aced the knowledge test, but I was still forced to go sequentially page-by-page through the AS9100 commentary. There is no way to skip this part, or any other part. You are forced to go through the entire content in sequence.

2) While going through the commentary I noticed several places where Rev B content had not been updated to the Rev C content. This needs to be reviewed and updated so that auditors won't be misled.

3) Much of the application test content was not covered in the online training module. The application test required knowledge of requirements from AS9101, AS9104, ISO 17021, and MD3 but there was no content in the training module explaining any of these requirements. Since this was the part of the test I failed, it would be logical that the training module would address that content. I felt that there was a significant mismatch here.

I'll be attending the instructor-led training in Atlanta July 24-27 - the weekend after the RMC meeting and workshop there. Will anyone else be there at that time?

Regarding the problem you ran into with the application test:

If you are in the middle of the initial exam and you must close it, the timer does stop when you log out. When you log back in, it will continue where you left off. I thought the platform lets you know that but maybe not.

Nathan, Thank you. I have completed everything and understand it. I have developed an Internal Auditor Course and used as much of the Plexus course ideas as possible. I have also developed an Executive Overview, it lasts about 1.5 hours, because I am a strong believer that the Executives have to understand the changes and the Process auditing, the application of the OER, the PEAR, the QMS Process Matrix Report, and the different Audit Reports. I have also included a simple Process Flow diagram to demonstrate how the auditors prepare and conduct the audit. The main purpose is: "Make sure Top Management knows that process auditing is different from element auditing.
