AS9100D Internal Audit Process Checklists

Good Afternoon,

We are certified to AS9100C and in February 2018 will be having our transition surveillance audit to AS9100D.

I am looking for AS9100D Internal Audit Process checklists, but have found none available.

I would like to have the standard clauses and add into each internal audit: training, process effectiveness.

Has anyone been able to find such an animal? Thank you for your support.

You will probably not find a checklist you can use as processes are so company specific.

I know there are some older various AS9100 audit checklists here but I haven't seen any for Rev D.

For a process based audit, that is auditing your processes, if you want a checklist you pretty much need to create your own. No two companies define their processes the same.

While on the phone with one of my AS9100 clients a couple of weeks ago he found an internal audit checklist for AS9100D. It was an official checklist. I don't remember which web site but I think it was the IAQG web site.

If you want to use that sort of a checklist with your internal audit there are at least a couple of approaches. One would be to supplement your audit working document with the checklist and answer the questions that are appropriate for each process. When you are finished you can look back and see if anything was missed and go back and take care of it. When AS9100 was using a checklist and CB auditors were required to perform process based audits that's pretty much how it was done.

Another would be to create a checklist for each process by copying out the questions that apply to that process.

You should keep in mind that the best way to audit is the process approach, and there is a lot of pressure from some CBs and their auditors to encourage (even bully) you in that direction, however, there is no requirement in AS9100D for you to do that.

Do what works for you, just make sure it is effective.

It will be appreciated if anyone here has a link to one, or if anyone here has made one and will share it here we would all very much appreciate it. I have found quite a few in Google but they're all to rev c or rev b except some that are for sale.

As Big Jim said, you can buy the AS9100 Store checklist and then cut it into sections based on which sections of the standard apply to your various processes.

But be careful...to avoid copyright violations they probably have to "re-word" the standard to create their checklist and their interpretation may not be the same as yours or your auditor's.
