I just took a look at my most recent acquisition (1994, reaffirmed 1999) and it's hardly dog-eared at all. I bought a three ring notebook to keep it in (they come pre-punched with five holes.)
The previous version to 1994 was 1982, reaffirmed 1988. Seems as if ASME stays on track with periodic revisions - I like the technique of "reaffirmation" to let us know they didn't consider any changes important enough to require us to buy a new copy, but that they WERE looking at it.
