Attribute Gage R&R Form - Long Version - AIAG's MSA Manual

Here's the deal: for attributes MSA, you need to demonstrate that the measurement system as it's used in production will always discriminate between conforming and nonconforming parts. The only statistically reliable way to do this is to have operators check parts that are known to be "good" and "bad" in sufficient numbers. Your problem, it seems to me, is not having enough parts to be able to arrive at a statistically sound conclusion. You need to approach this parsimoniously--don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. You need to do it with as many parts as you can, and you need to make sure that your customer understands the situation and approves.

I am not really looking to satisfy a specific customer with this really just trying to establish good practice within the Lab.

Back to my original question - Is it OK to use variable data to define the repeatability and reproducability of an attribut gage - AND Why or Why Not?

This is an attribute R&R study found on the websight of a manufacturer we supply. If any one knows of a reason I should not be using it please let me know. My TS auditor did not appear to have a problem with it.:lmao:

Welcome to The Cove Forums!! :bigwave: :bigwave:

An advanced search on MSA for Attributes revealed this.

Look around; you'll find some real good stuff! :agree1:

I'm looking for an Attribute Gauge R&R with the following criteria

4th Edition

50 parts
3 times
3 people

same as the MSA 4TH EDITION PAGE 134.

With results calculation, the ones I have found so far are 100 parts and only 2 trials I need the 3rd one.

Attached is an Excel program I developed for conducting Attribute Gage R&R studies. Hope it is helpful. :)
