I just finished teaching a course at a client's. They had a couple of new auditors, but wanted a refresher for their existing auditors. Although it was undoubtedly more than the experienced folks needed, it did allow great interaction between the two groups. It also gives an opportunity for the experienced folks to gather information that might make their audits even more beneficial.
That's a great point. If any of you work at a company that still has money, this slow time in the economy is a GREAT time to get some training and improve people's competencies and abilities to do even better work.
During the busy times, you don't have time, during the slow times, there is no money. If you can break out of that rut, this is a great opportunity for all kinds of improvements. And, it reduces layoffs, too.
