My take was on trainers who 'market', training even in areas where no training need has been identified; and not on those of the 'noble' variety! In the instant case, ISO or IAF have identified a trg. need and even a regn. body like IRCA prescribes only a CPD of 2h duration! Out of the 80 oddd changes in 2008 version, only about 10% are kind of clarifications and the rest are purely 'editorial' changes. Further those who have applied provisions of the 2000 version understanding the intent of the clause and based on a situational analysis(rather than going in for off-the-shelf solutions), even the few new provisions with clarifications are nothig new, but 'old wine in a new bottle'!
Now I am really keen to know how certification/registration/accreditation bodies in other countries have addreesed the issue of transition? Is it same as IRCA's?
