Basics of a Quality System - Novice Book with lots of illustrations

Since I am new to ISO9000, I am trying to find a book, document, etc on the basics of a quality system, including what is a process and how to test and measure it.

I would love something with lots of illustrations.

Any recommendations?

Here is some of the stuff I found on this site, but with your knowledge and exprence I would be waisting my time and money.

have you had any training in ISO? A course on auditing, implementing, or the like is a good way to get your feet wet and gain some understanding of what it is that you are doing. They are usually somewhat costly (compared to a book anyway).
Also, how much of the ISO system is being put on your table? Are you getting good help from the org leaders (aka Management)?

I'm new enought to this forum that I can't begin to tell you how to navigate to them, but there are a LOT of EXCELLENT illustrations, charts, tables and graphs posted right here on this site. Some of the old pros can point you in their direction.

Good suggestions thus far. I'd like to add this one, even though it's not strictly about QMS: Gemba Kaizen by Masaaki Imai. I keep rereading it.

I have no official ISO training, but since we are a small business, management usually overloads our plate.
I am hoping to push back on management to let them know without help all of this will cost more and take longer to implement.
