Page 88 item 8 of v4 of the MSA manual (and page 86 item 6 in V3) states that the t statistic (= tbias) should be calculated. It seems to me that the only values that are used in the examples given in the manual to calculate the 95% confidence intervals are the product of the significant t value (from t tables with given degrees of freedom) and the standard error of the mean.... so what is the point in calculating the t-statistic if it is not used?
