First off I am a novice when it comes to computers and browsers. And for the most part I never heard of most of the things you folks are shouting about.
At home I use AOL. Recently AOL upgraded to 9.0 that included a popup blocker. It works quite well. Unfortunately some of the wife's programs use popups to activate the "reports".
Needless to say I went through ****
for two days before I found out (when in doubt try reading the instructions) that AOL did allow the popup blocker to be turned on or off for individual web pages. Whew!!! Now I can block them or allow them which ever works best!

I believe Opera was the first to integrate popup blocking into the browser without any add-ons.
I have used AOL's browser before but not version 9.0. It is possible to use other browsers if you have AOL. Once you are connected to the internet through AOL all you need to do is open up your other web browser (IE, Mozilla, Firefox, Opera, etc.).
