This is a bit of a long shot. This British Standard gives the dimensions of probes (quick connectors) for use with medical gas pipeline systems. The standard gives diameter dimensions for Oxygen, Nitrous Oxide, Oxygen/Nitrous Oxide (50%/50%), MA-4, MA-7 and Vacuum (plus soon to be published Heliox option). But there are no dimensions for a Carbon Dioxide probe. Yet I?ve found an old drawing in our system with diameters for Carbon Dioxide, but nobody knows where they came from. Also a number of suppliers indicate that they supply BS 5682 Standard ?Carbon Dioxide? probes e.g. Bay Corp. (USA) and SMP (Canada). So where did these extra dimensions come from? Was there a published draft Standard? Can anyone confirm what they are (diameter C and D ? plus A and B for the anti-confusion gauge)?
I am not holding my breath on this one.
