Burst Test Acceptability Criteria

Where you carry out burst testing of packaging what acceptability criteria have you used? (This is for sealed pouches opened via a tear notch, not peelable pouches.) If you establish an average burst test result of, say, 600 mbar, is this good, bad or ok? I feel that the results need to relate to a real world condition but we have always struggled to come up with something. Any help appreciated...

There isn't a set pressure that is acceptable as the configuration, test equipment etc make for many variables. I'd make samples that are poor and use those to determine the acceptable pressure. Then make sure you are operating higher, setting appropriate action & alert levels.
