Hi all
I've been trying to design go & nogo plug gauges for housing that is buttress threaded.
As this is my first to do it, i have had to look up the net and other references to see how to design it.
However, the only i found was the simply design of the pin gauge which is non-threaded, which give me some thoughts that the threaded gauge would not be as easy as designing pin gauge (it doesnt mean that designing pin gauge would be easy !!!)
I've referenced one of examples to apply into my example and its result is seen in the attachment.
I used the 10:1 rule to determine the tolerance of the plug that should be used.
I have not taken into account the PD or round at the major diameter or flank angles.
Can anyone please take a look at the attachment and give me your precious advice?
Kind Regards,
Minki
