I would buy a Ford over GM and Chrysler just because of the higher quality.

Really, what does "Buy American" mean anymore??

Do I buy a Chevy just because of the name tag, even though it's manufactured in Mexico, or is it more American to buy a Toyota or a Honda that was built right here in my home state of Indiana?
At least if I buy the Toyota I can know that my purchase helped put food on the table for an American worker rather than be part of some gigantic bonus given to a GM Executive for losing billions of dollars.

My opinion is that what country do the profits go to? Point in case, if you buy a Ford, even though some of the suppliers are located outside of the US, the actual profits go to Ford, of which it's main ownership is located in the US.

Its "main ownership" consists of stockholders, many of whom are not US citizens.

But, the Ford family in the U.S.A. still holds most preferred stock and is not about to let it go. Basically what they want to happen is what happens.
