Great! I used to own a 'vette (ahum...a Chevette...)

Stijloor.

You had a Vauxhall?:mg:

Here's a picture of a 1979 Vauxhall Chevette - better known as a "shove it". I had one similar to this.

OK, I realise Chevrolet may have used the name first. :)

What's to old saying? I'd rather have a sister working in a house of ill repute than a Ford in the driveway:lol:

There are about 200 of us here counting on people buying Ford products. If not we are out the door in a couple months. :(

Ford will survive!

The question is though, will Ford survive because of their ability to manage the company, or is there survival dependant on GM failing?

Either way, Ford may survive. The question then becomes for how much longer, and what will the quality of that life be for their remaining existance.

Right now, all the automotive manufacturers are sucking wind. But how they have been managed certainly affects their ability to weather storms like this.

Randy, you forgot a couple.

Currently in my drive are an F150, and a Mercury Sable. I got deviled with the above in the 1960's from the farmer I helped putting up hay. They were "Chevy" folks. Dad always bought Fords.

That was cute. I will have to remember that. By the way, I have a FORD Edge and never had a problem with it since I got it over a year ago. Before that I had a FORD Taurus that had 150,000 miles on it when I retired it.
