Buying the ISO 9001:2008 Handbook for Small Businesses

Hi,

Has anyone purchased the above? My national standards body is charging €65/$83 :mad:, which is a huge chunk more than ISO is charging (€38/$51) if you purchase directly from them. This seems ridiculous. I need to buy around 30 of them and I'm looking for the best value. Anyone bought for less than ISO are charging? I tried the UKAS and ANSI sites but they only seem to have the 2000 version in stock.

Why do you need to buy 30? Are you giving them to all employees? Only the people setting up the system really need to understand ISO. Everyone else just needs to know YOUR system.

Of course.

I have very valid reasons for needing to purchase that amount but I don't really want to get into too much detail on a public forum. Thanks.

Can you buy only one electronic version and make it available over the network? I think there is a license for X number of users....

I have the older version 96 that I had bought from ASQ. It really did not provide a bunch of info. Probably the best reference book I used was "The ISO 9000 Handbook" not sure if it is still updated or not.

You can buy the book direct from ISO, 51+ books recieve a 15% discount and it is a fast delivery.

As a CB, we will be providing them free to our smaller clients. The reality is, it's still pretty in-depth for someone new to the ISO 9001 standard.
