I agree - for most usages those are really short! I hope they were willing to absorb the cost of the additional overhead for those areas where that frequency is not needed.

I agree with Bob on this. I sure hope that your customer is paying you well for such an extraordinary short interval.
While your customer may be keen on mitigating risk of failure, I would think managing the calibration would be better than just setting an arbitrary recall date.
