Calibration of pressure/air gages

We have gas regulators on our furnaces and pressuree gages. Do they need to be calibrated? If so, how?
2. What do we do with air gauges used for testing. Do we need to have them calibrated, and how?
3. If customers calibrate their gages and return them to us, what type of documentation do we need to have on file for QS? They will claibrate them themselves with a special gage.

Probably don't need to be calibrated. They provide an operating range but don't control the process.

Yup - gotta be calibrated. Send them out or back to the manufacturer. Who ever sold you the instrument should be able to guide you to a company which can provide calibration of the instrument. Where is the first cal cert (which comes with it when it was shipped from the manufacturer) from?

I'd just ask for a statement or something from your customer whereby it is stated that the appartus is customer supplied and calibrated. It should have a cal sticker. If your auditor questions it, s/he can go to your customer and check their files, but they won't.
