Calibration of Type A Glassware in Testing Laboratory

We have lab that is an accredited to ISO 17025:2005 we have type A glassware but we don't know or sure that we either need to calibrate them or no ?
Can anyone who knows reply

As it happens we are just re-evaluating our policy on Type A pipettes and volumetric flasks.

Firstly new Type A glassware comes with a calibration certificate, or should do. If they don't already have an expiration policy labs must somehow justify their own policy on the expiration time of this certificate by re-calibrating a small selection over time, say 3 years. Two things will make buying certificated Type A a waste of money;
1) regular use of hot air driers.
2) measuring liquids other than water.

If either of those apply you will need to do your own calibrations.
If neither applies and the certificates are lost, you don't have proof traceability and you need to calibrate.

It's easier if you color-code your Type A according to year of expiration.

That said we have sidestepped the whole issue, weigh most liquids and rely much less on volumetry even down to 0.005 ml.
