Calibration Tracking Software

Hello

Can someone give me some ideas on some calibration software for tracking my calibrations. I guess I am looking for a glorified database. I have done a search on this and found one about making my own using Access. It is highly unlikely that I could pull this off, even if I did have the time, which I don't.

So can someone give me some names of software (and prices). It doesn't need to be elaborate stuff.

Thanks.

There are quite a few calibration database packages out there. I believe if you search through the archives of this forum, you'll find some postings listing quite a few of them.

A few that I can recall for the moment are:

Calmate or Labmate by Norfox.com
Mettrack by Fluke
Blue Mountain Software (coolblue.com)
Cybermetrics Corp (cybermetrics.net)
Intercalinc.com (automated cal procedures)
pmisoftware.com
qualitysys.com
surecal.com

I wasn't going to plug

You can also look at harrington.com. You can try it for 30 days, no charge. User friendly, word based. You can view their Internet sales. I saw CA5 Issue Management System (CA) on sale for $299, plus a $100 cash back rebate. The Calibration recall system works like CA5, which I have. Worked with the Calibration recall, or whatever they call it, in a previous life. Just a thought.

We've been using Advanced Gage Control for years now. Suits our needs, but I wouldn't call it outstanding.

FG, you know what your company needs. Do a search for calibration software, download some trials and see how they work for you. Hands-on will lead you to a suitable program for you.

In keeping with the rules of the forum, I must confess that I do have an affiliation with the software development company but...check out the the new Transcat catalog for Transcal V5. Incredible software.

Someone here told me that Trackpro software could be downloaded and used for free if you only had something like 150 or fewer gages, so we tried it. IMO it is not too great, but it does the job minimally once you figure it out. What do you want for free I guess...but glad I did not pay for it or else I would probably have returned it. It may be better and have more features if you buy it, not sure -- you can check into it with no risk.

I have been using GageTrak by Cybermetrics for 5 years and love it. It is very user friendly. I must confess that I do beta testing for them. I use this software on a daily basis. I have found it useful for when I am audited and the auditor likes the records it keeps. Have a great day. :D

We have been using Gage Management System by Prompt Consultants since 1998 and have had no problems with the software. We have upgraded several times. The software was half the price of other deluxe systems, and it has all the features.
