Can a organization use a disclaimer "pending AS9100 Certification" in Marketing Information?

Not an answer to your question, but a question on the basis of it...

Isn't that the same as saying "We are not AS9100 Certified" ?

Who would want to market that?

It's not misleading in its message, but it doesn't guarantee a certification. It would probably be best to leave it alone.

Once you do get your certification, you'd have to update all the disclaimers and it doubles the work effort. You CAN do it, but it's not really recommended because a promise of a certification isn't the same as having the proof of compliance...

You can say whatever you want in your marketing. I see "AS9100 Compliant" all the time - doesn't mean registered.
But, as stated above, if your AS9100 is pending, how much marketing material will you have to update when you do get registered? If it's just your website, easy peasy, but if it's printed materials like line cards, etc...

It's pretty common to advertise in that manner. Certification Bodies even provide pending letters once an organization is on contract and making progress toward registration.
