According to IEC 60601-1 subclause 57.2e:
Auxiliary mains socket outlets on non-permanently installed equipment, intended for the provision of mains supply to other equipment, or to separted parts of the Equipment shall be of a type that cannot except a MAINS PLUG.
The reason they give is because of "Extra lekage currents caused by other equipment".
Question:
So besides a MAINS PLUG what other plugs can the "Auxiliary mains socket outlets" be is 2 prong ok or a usb powered device. Also does this mean that a Powerstrip which is accepts a three prong plug(L,N,Gnd) can not be used?
