anyone have ever implemented
APQP and PPAP. If so, could you please detail your practical experience and how you have implemented.
Thanks in advance.
Here's an area that cannot be answered in a clear, concise statement that one could present in a job interview without having a clear understanding of the PPAP/APQP process. In fact, I have come across many organizations that still have trouble with the process, especially during the audit experience.
There is a template posted here (somewhere) for the Mercury Marine PPAP package that is VERY nice. Download the template and use it as reference for learning the process.
Knowing that you are "fresh out of school", it's understandable that you may not want to take another class. However, consider taking a Core Tools course. It will give you the information required, and the instructor can answer your questions from the viewpoint of the Big Three (hopefully). This area is a critical area for many organizations and requires more than just having read the book to actually "do the PPAP". Making it through the interview, getting the job then actually having to PPAP products (before you are comfortable with the process) can spell CLR , career limiting move, for someone.
Then again, there are those organizations that prefer to hire employees direct from the university that have not been "tainted" by other organizations' methods. The "train them the way you want them" philosophy exists.
Good luck in your job search! Remember to sell yourself, your abilities/skills are only a small part of the hiring process.

Polls show that 90% of the hiring decision is based on how well the company feels you can assimilate or "fit in with the team", not your skill sets. They can teach you "how to do" but cannot train you in "how to be".
