Good morning.
Do you confirm to me that a subsupplier which carries out only assembly/mounting (and test/inspection) processes can be certified IATF 16949?
Starting from parts owned by customers supplied from customers and finished commercial parts purchased from subsupplier (often by customer's specification), this subcontractor (very little familiar enterprise) assemblies and tests automotive products, on behalf of customers (outsourcing).
No "production" process is performed: only assembling, packaging and obviously checking. Almost always this subsupplier directly ships to customer of its customers (that's tier 2).
Thanks.
