Where there is a true difference in the calibration and the resultant report, then of course it is fair to charge extra and I have no issue with that.....it does require extra time to get that, sometimes a bunch of extra time.....
My concerns and where I believe it is unethical, is when a lab charges more for a cert under the scope and NO EXTRA WORK was done.....
Let's get real.....the marketplace reality is such that this happens.....but where the calibration is the same and the uncertainties come off the Uncertainty Study that must be provided to the AB, or from the spreadsheet/program (using the same program as a non-logo cal), then a mark-up in my personal opinion - (just me, no one else, this is entirely my opinion.....have I got enough disclaimers yet?) becomes unethical.
