Hi all, long time lurker, first time poster (to paraphrase a cliche)
My topic is this:-
I am currently implementing a TS compliant QMS (and all the other good stuff tht I can think of) for an SME here in sunny ol' London.
I have a Lead auditor grounding in Auto, Env, Calibration, InfoSec and H&S, and a fair bit of experience developing and / or implementing systems from scratch, but now have this issue that I've not come across before.
To cut a waffling story short it's this:-
If said org. has several individuals 'qualified' (a word that could be a debate in and of itself, but which I use here as having attended a training course by an accredited provider, such as SMMT) to audit ISO9001, can I 'use' them to supplement the pitiful 2 + me (and I'm a contractor) who have pretty peices of paper saying they can audit TS16949) if I only deploy them to audit those specific clauses in the T.S. which do not differ from 9001?
I know its still a fairly restrictive remit that I could give them, but it may take the weight off of the other 2 guys if I could - not sure how long this contract will last, as it's very much an 'open-ended' thing at the minute.
Soooo.... I thought I'd post here and see if any of you guys n gals had any thoughts on the subject - me not having anyone around here that I can bounce ideas off. Any BSI client managers or equivalent care to share their thoughts?
Well, here's thanking you all in advance for any input you may have on this topic. It's about knocking off time on Friday and the pub is calling me...
Ciao.
Neil.
