Here's the situation:
We created a FAI for a first time build that required the parts to go to an outside vendor. After a few builds we find ourselves in a position that requires us to perform the process that our Vendor did. This required us to make a Delta (partial) FAI. Now that the time constraints are lifted we will be sending the parts back to the Vendor to have the work done. Do we need to create another Delta FAI? If our Travelers (jobs) went back to referencing the original FAI number would that meet the AS9102 requirement?
A little break down might help.
Job # 20012, New FAI (#100), Original build
Job # 20145, Referenced FAI (#100), Repeat build
Job # 21012, Referenced FAI (#100), Repeat build
Job # 22115, Delta FAI (#100A), Went from Vendor to in-house process
Job # 23455, Reference Original FAI (#100), Send back to Vendor for process
Can I go back and reference FAI# 100 or would I have to make another delta (FAI# 100B)
Thanks for your help.
