Changes in ETSI EN 301-48-17 v3.2.4 2020

Hi All,

I am looking for a clarification related to the standard in the Subject of this thread. Please see below change history of the standard:

I would like to understand which conditions are being referred to in the statement "Removing manufacturer defined test conditions". I could only understand that it is related to sub-clause 4.2, but could not understand which conditions are "manufacturer defined".

I think it refers to the following:

EN 301 489-17: V3.1.1 contained the following:
4.1 "Equipment which requires connection to a host equipment to function shall use the test configuration as defined by the manufacturer."
4.2.1 "The wanted signals and/or controls required to establish a communications link shall be defined by the manufacturer."
4.2.4 "The measuring equipment may be supplied by the manufacturer."
4.2.4 and 4.2.5 "The manufacturer may provide a suitable companion transmitter that can be used to transmit messages or to set up a communication link."

In EN 301 489-17: V3.2.2 these were reworded and the references to 'manufacturer' were removed.
