Pratt & Whitney makes a device known as Lab Master, a laser interometer equipped super micrometer. Not sure if that is the application you had in mind.
thanks H.
I did my little research P&W have the best laser micrometers also the most expensive I believe, at the same time I found good equipment (reburbished) at a bette price.
so
Does anybody in this forum has a laser micrometer for sale?
100 microns? Why would you need a laser micrometer to verify pin gages with such a wide tolerance? Lot's of cheaper methods would work (height gages, for example).
I just bought a dual laser system from Keyence. Works very well. Sub micron accuracy. They have different precisions (and prices) to match your needs. Unless you are measuring against a FLAT surface, I suggest the dual laser. Our material has some tecture to it, so I got a wide beam model.
We recently purchased a laser micrometer(used for 1500.00) It was a Mitutoyo LSM-9506. I have been calibrating for 20 years and wish I would have got one earlier. We use it for pin gages mostly and is much faster than any other device I have used. We can do a .061-.250 in about 20min.
