As a college instructor myself, I understand the value. But, they should do a little research on a 'topic of the day' to make their comments to their students more applicable - or at least specify the limits of their expertise. If gives you more credibility.

Absolutely, if this group would actually take the time to educate themselves, or bring in someone who understands (or several with varying knowledge) this would be a fantastic learning experience for these kids. As it is, we end up with a bunch of kids fresh from high school, and feed them full of meaningless karp. Let's truly teach these kids something so they are better informed citizens.
