Hello, My name is Bruce, the director of Global Quality in a telecommunication MFG company.
One of the major issue that I am facing is that our CNC machining shop still heavily rely on first piece and final QC inspection to capture the major defects and batch failure. Our batch reject rate is >3%. There is no SPC control or Pre-control method that has been implemented. Machinist measured the finished products based on 3 pan system, no recording for measurement data. The only thing they would know is pass/fail. Quite a resistence to implement some SPC software such as Infinity-Quality.
Any good suggestion in terms of strategic planning?
