I apologize for starting the thread so late, coming up on Week 4, have been busy.

This is the first year of the playoff for Div IA, and it is almost certainly going to make some happy and lot unhappy, but just like the first few years of the BCS, it will take time to work out.

Week 3 had a bunch of good games, including what is a significant upset in the SEC. USC (the first USC - South Carolina), ranked 24, upset #6 Georgia. The single most controversial call though was made with only about a minute left in the game, when SC got a first down on a fourth down QB sneak. Why a controversy? The spot barely reached the end of the last link on the chain so by basically just a bump on the end of the football!

The other USC (So Cal) got upset by Boston College.

Week 4 coming up on Saturday!

We are also football junkies (more NFL and College the last few years..) but my team (ISU Cyclones) are in for a really rough year.

That being said, nothing gets us more excited than a big pot of chili, some good beer, and screaming our lungs out.

Have a great season!!!

WOW! It was a weekend of upsets! #12 Mississippi State beat #6 Texas A&M (beat them badly), #11 Ole Miss beat #1 Alabama, #25 TCU beat #4 Oklahoma.

Still, some games went as expected.

I did well on the College Pick 'Em, but got some games way wrong!

This next Saturday Auburn will be at Mississippi State. That will be interesting.

What a season it has been!

Who would EVER have expected that Mississippi State would be ranked #1 and Ole Miss ranked #3, both at the same time? Who would have thought that LSU (#23) would give up four turnovers and then still beat Ole Miss?

Who would have thought this season would turn out the way this season is going? What a season!

This weekend we have #1 Mississippi State in Tuscaloosa against Alabama. That is like asking Hercules to go against Cerebus. Which do you think will win?

Georgia is going into Auburn, but now they got the main running back, one has to believe he will have something to prove.

FL State is in Miami, but that may not be a slam dunk.

Texas is at OK State. Does anyone care?

Nebraska is at Wisconsin. Should be a good match.

OK, folks, what is/are the game(s) you will watch, and what do you think? All conferences open.........

Rivalry week yesterday. On the ESPN College Pic'Em, I was under the average points. I still finished at 90.2% for the season though.

Now the Championship games, then bowls, then the playoffs.

Next years should be interesting. I am hoping they will take the top 16, and then use major and minor bowls as venues. Similar to this year, but starting with 16 instead of four.
