College FOOTBALL is back!!!!!! September 2007

So.....with two weeks down and some REAL surprises.....favorite teams? Not so favorites? Schedules we would like to see - with W/L projections?

Here is my first thought.....

Take the way-over-rated USC Trojans.....
Play Florida in the Swamp
LSU at Tiger Stadium
Alabama in Tuscaloosa
Clemson in Death Valley
Georgia Between the Hedges
South Carolina in LA
Put the same Oregon and Cal teams up that we all saw on TV.....
Texas in LA
Penn State in PA
Then close (9th game) against UCLA.....

W=7, L=4

Who's next?

I am really impressed with the way Michigan and Notre Dame have handled their opponents thus far.

I would love to see those games. As much as I like USC, I would be very surprised if they could stay healthy enough through that schedule to win 5. The one you forgot was at Oklahoma.

I'm not convinced they are way over-rated though. If they can survive the Pac-10, they may end up in the BCS against LSU or Oklahoma if they don't get beat up in their own conference. There are some tough looking teams out there this year. Just look at Appalachian State

Hmmm, I can see where I need to be more careful about what I mean being taken a different way

The intent was not to look down on Appalachian State but to poke fun at Michigan, our biggest rival here in Ohio (although I think lately we hate Florida almost as much). My apologies to all the Mountaineers out there who might have been caught up in my haste to stomp the enemy. :truce:

I really have nothing against Boone, N.C. I understand you have some real nice docks there. That is where the boondocks are - right????

One thing we can say about Southern football is "speed kills". Just go ask Ohio State AND Michigan.
